May 1:  Wiliam Holly, Executive Director at Cushman & Wakefield

William H. Holly is one of the highest ranking brokerage professionals in Florida for Cushman & Wakefield. As Executive Director of Brokerage Services with over 20 years of commercial real estate experience, Mr. Holly was recognized as one of the top Commercial Real Estate Executives in the United States, “40 under 40” in Building Contractor and Engineering magazine.  He was awarded the 2007 Entrepreneur of the Year Award by the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce and was named one of the Top Ten “Hot Brokers” in the U.S. by Commercial Property News.  He has been active in the real estate industry since 1990.
Mr. Holly has represented over $1 billion in transactions and has been responsible for 12 building naming and signage rights in Miami during his career. In addition, Mr. Holly has represented 20 class A office buildings in the Miami market and owns the Class A pre-lease records for The Coral Gables, Brickell and Miami Beach submarkets.  Mr. Holly has a broad range of national expertise in the commercial real estate market including brokerage and development of office and mixed use buildings. Mr. Holly has current brokerage assignments throughout the United States.
Mr. Holly plays an active role in the South Florida community.  He is a founding shareholder of Apollo Bank, Florida Gulf Bank and Coral Gables Trust .
Mr. Holly is a Coral Gables native and is the past Chairman of the Board for Ransom Everglades School Board of Trustees, considered one of the top 10 day schools in the United States, and is the past President of the Brickell Area Association.  He is the past Chairman of the Historical Museum of Southern Florida and also served as a councilman on the Coconut Grove Village Council (1999, 2000) and is the past Senior Warden at St. Philips Church in Coral Gables.  Mr. Holly graduated from Florida State University and resides in Miami.

May 8: Robert Kaplan, Principal at Ackman-Ziff Real Estate Group, LLC

Mr. Kaplan is a Principal of The Ackman-Ziff Real Estate Group, LLC with over 25 years of experience in commercial real estate investment banking, sales, leasing, management, and law. Prior to joining Ackman Ziff in 2011, Mr. Kaplan was a practicing attorney before launching a successful career in real estate investment banking and sales brokerage. As a financing and investment sales broker, Mr. Kaplan has been involved in transactions totaling over $5 billion.

Mr. Kaplan began his real estate career in the Miami office of the law firm of Greenberg Traurig. His practice involved primarily zoning, land use, environmental law, and complex real estate equity and debt transactions. Mr. Kaplan then joined Terranova Corporation as Executive Vice President and General Counsel. Mr. Kaplan was instrumental in the firm’s workout and restructuring activities, which involved a five million square foot retail and office portfolio.

Mr. Kaplan was a partner at CREC in charge of real estate acquisitions and finance. He was also a senior member of the firm’s executive committee involved in the firm’s third-party property management, construction management, and leasing activities for a portfolio of over two million square feet of office buildings and retail centers. Mr. Kaplan eventually became the head of the firm’s third-party sale brokerage and finance group.

During his tenure at HFF and Olympian Capital, Mr. Kaplan arranged approximately $5 billion in senior debt, mezzanine financing, and equity. While at HFF, Mr. Kaplan and his team worked on many of the largest sale and finance transactions closed at the firm, and he was a top grossing producer at HFF nationally.

May 15:  Tom Dixon, President at Dixon Commercial Real Estate

Tom Dixon specializes in tax assessment appeals and commercial brokerage.

Tom was the Chairman of the Realtor Association of Greater Miami and the Beaches and is a former president of the Miami Society of Commercial Realtors. A resident of Miami for over 40 years, he moved to Miami after obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Building Construction and a Master’s degree in Real Estate from the University of Florida.

He was an active appraiser for over 15 years and held the designation of MAI (Member Appraisal Institute)

Tom was recognized in the 2008 edition of Miami Today’s Best of Miami as an outstanding role model, as the “IADC” Industrial Association of Dade County “2001 Broker of the Year” and Finalist for the Ernest and Young “Best Real Estate Deal of the Year.”

May 22: Elizabeth Santos, Vice President at Sime Realty Corporation
